Fabio Gomez
Fabio Gomez received his B.S. of Biology from the Nacional University of Colombia in 2013. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student of BMB at MSU advised by Dr. Erich Grotewold
His research is focused on the characterization and prediction of regulatory associations between transcription factors and target genes through the integration of multiple-omics level data.
He also focuses on the application of machine-learning algorithms to transfer regulatory knowledge between model and non-model plants. Founded by NRT-IMPACT program, he will computationally predict TF-complexes that are mainly involved in gene regulation of specialized metabolism on Zea mays. He will take advantage of his expertise in the identification of Arabidopsis regulatory complexes.
