Binbin Huang

Binbin Huang is a PhD student at the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering in Michigan State University. Her research interests lie in developing and applying machine learning models to recognize the patterns in multi-omics data and make predictions. Her research aims to reveal the mechanisms of genetic variants and study the procedure of genome evolution.

Binbin Huang has a strong background in biology and bioinformatics. She received her B.S. from University of Science and Technology of China in 2010 and M.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology subsequently.

Binbin Huang will join the NRT-IMPACTS program in spring 2019 and work closely with people from plant biology labs. She will build a software suite to systematically process DNase-seq data in plant research and get new insights on epigenetics and gene regulation.
