Government Agency

• Government agency internship will improve Trainees’ understanding of how federal policy and programs impact science and their abilities to communicate with policymakers to shape future scientific programs. 
• Alternatively, the program will arrange for Trainees to interact with Michigan State House Committees in Agriculture, communication & Technology, or Natural Resources.

Other possibilities

The Trainees can propose alternative internship opportunities with the program as long as the proposed experience will advance professional skills and help Trainees realize their career goals.
